In a calcium carbide kiln, temperature is extreamly high (around 1200℃）and environment is harsh, thermocouple has requirement of use environment and based on its own structure limitation, in the temperature change fluctuations and vibration occasions, resulting in thermocouple temperature measurement is not accurate, reaction lag, can not react change the temperature accurately in time.
The thermocouple works in the high temperature area of 1200℃ ~ 1400℃ for a long time, and the ambient temperature of the thermocouple junction box is as high as 100 ~ 120℃, resulting in a very short service life of the couple, ranging from a few weeks to a few months. Increased use cost and maintenance workload.
For economical purpose, user can also consider 1-color infrared pyrometer, model MARS-S-6016.
