Technically, hot stove preheats air blown into the blast furnace and will provide higher furnace temperatures, increasing the furnace capacity.
Accurate mornitoring furnace termperature is very important and will support efficient operation – higher temperatures are more efficient and, by reducing coke consumption, are more cost effective. However, temperatures that exceed the working limit of the refractory will damage the brickwork and shorten the lifespan of the stove. This important measurement is ideally taken by measuring the temperature at the dome underside, but can also be effective if taken from the brick checkerwork. In addition, continuous monitoring of the hot blast main provides the data required to optimise the efficiency of the blast furnace operation.
1. Traditionally, temperature of blast stove is mostly measured by thermocouple. However, the harsh environment caused by high temperature and high pressure will significantlly reduce the lifetime of thermocouples. The metal sheath of thermometers are not viable above 1200℃ and it is easily to be damaged. Also, sudden pressure relief can casue a drop of temperature reading between 20-30℃ for about 30 secs. Therefore, it is decided to use fiexed pyrometer instead of thermocouple especially in automatic stove reveral control system. Our company designed a series of Pyrometer For Industry Furnace.
2. Compared with thermcouple, an infrared thermometer has below advantages:
*Easy to maintain
Industrial infrared pyrometer measuring the dome underside temperature of hot blast stove, compared with thermocouple measurement, maintenance workload is greatly reduced; service life is longer.
*More stable
Measuring result of ratio infrared pyrometer not influenced by high pressure
*More durable
Alway use two color infrared prometer which will not contact measuring target, ambient temperature is low.
3. Furnace use pyrometer is characterized by non-contact measurement, that is, by measuring the probe to determine the infrared radiation of the object to determine the temperature of the object.Therefore, it is required that the temperature probe must be aimed at the object to be measured and the distance should be close to avoid external interference. The measuring device should be installed vertically on the vault of the hot blast stove.
4. Temperature Measurment Infrared Pyrometer measuring instrument has been successfully used in the vault temperature measuring of blast furnace in our company. Stove use pyrometer temperature measurement data is more accurate and the response speed is very fast.At the same time, it also reduces the cost, the practice proves that the system in the measurement accuracy, comprehensive benefits, maintenance and other aspects basically meet the requirements of users.
